What you should see here is considered the first permanent color photograph ever taken, from 1861 by James Clerk Maxwell.
While the photo was actually of a tartan ribbon, one can clearly see the influence of the Cosmic Bunny peeking through via the subject choice! It's a Bunny! =:-)
